An Education in the Knowledge of Good and Evil

Before Adam committed his sin in the Garden all that he and Eve had seen in the world was good, deeply and powerfully good. Their harsh introduction to the school of evil was only to begin after they rebelled against God by disobeying Him, and they were cast out of Eden. No matter how much we may wish for it today, we cannot return to the time before that act when everything was good. God's people are waiting until the Gardener comes back and pulls up all the weeds. The sad result for us? We not only know evil now, but we must be educated in the distinction between good and evil. That is, we must be able to recognize evil as evil and good as good.

The sexual revolution, which is well on it's way to becoming the sexual tyranny by this point, is working hard on presenting an illusion to the world. That illusion is that there is no good and no evil. There are only the ways we feel about things, and that feeling is only a biological reaction of the human body which has been evolving over millenia. Does this make you feel good? Then it must be good, at least for you. Does this make you feel bad? Then, for you, it is. Don't, however, call it evil. To some other person, it may feel good and be good for them.

Should We Make Vows To God If He Will Answer Our Prayers?

During our Sunday night service, we have a time where questions can be asked. The topics are usually limited to the morning sermon or the Sunday school classes, but sometimes we go further afield. I simply ask the church to be nice to me, and give me the question either in the morning or over email so I don't have to repeat the same mantra over and over- "Wow, that's a great question. I don't know. Maybe I could think about that this week and we'll talk next week?" I'm going to start posting the questions with my answers here.
